Back in a day
of values, virtue and honour
Declarations were forged
sent them back across the water.
Two score and two centuries later
it's been turned on it's head
ammended and negated.
The values and basis
of all that it stood for
have been stomped into the ground.
Is that all that it's good for?
How did we get here?
What have they done?
They made nothing from something.
What goes around comes
back around.
Corruption and lies
are the soup of the day
Take a side of deception
and dont you complain.
A generous tip
will never be appreciated
just pay unfair shares
and dont be frustrated
So here's your number ...
forget your name
no need to tell your friends
'cause we serve them the same.
How did we get here?
What have they done?
They cracked a solid foundation
and brought the whole damn structure
down to the ground.
There still is some hope
despite the current convention
we can take it all back
if we show some intention.
And let it be known
to those who speak for us
we will cast them aside
if they choose to ignore us.
We dont have to live
like a nation of sheeple
as long as we remember
its us in "We the People".
We can get there
Lets get it done
Time to wake up everyone
what goes around comes
back around.
